Outdoor guidebooks are written by outdoor enthusiasts. Besides that, there’s really no other criteria. At Fixed Pin, we’ve worked with young parents, recent high-school graduates, a Ph.D. student taking a sabbatical, and professional athletes. Anyone can be an author. We started Fixed Pin because we couldn’t find a company that published high-quality color guidebooks, consistently gave back to the climbing community, and respected the vision and creativity of authors.
